Kansas City,MO

Summary

In all my professional efforts, I strive to be honest, caring, and thoughtful of my patients and the other staff I work with. Originally from Kansas City, I moved to Iowa City so that I could pursue a nursing career. In my years as an undergraduate, I have worked as an Emergency Medical Technician through Care Ambulance in Iowa City and a Patient Care Technician through UIHC's emergency department. Through my nursing education, I have learned to uphold and value evidence-based practice as I took on clinical rotations in medical surgical, mental health, mother-baby, ER, and ICU floors. After graduating, I proceeded to work as a MICU nurse at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics for 1.5 years as an RN, where I earned my CCRN and recently received my CMC. I worked with many different medical pathologies, including respiratory failure, renal failure, liver failure, ARDS, overdoses, DKA, HHS, post-codes, seizures, status asthmatics, status epilepticus, septic shock, cardiogenic shock, as well as different therapies including ECMO (bedside) and CRRT. I have now moved back home to Kansas City to be closer to family! Enjoy my resume!
