Body

Dear Mr. Held, I am applying for the 2024 Florida Ticketing and Hospitality Internship for this upcoming spring. I am a senior at Washington State University majoring in Sport Management and minoring in Communication. I feel that my experience in customer service and athletic events has prepared me to be a valuable addition to your staff. I worked for the WSU baseball marketing team during my sophomore year, where I managed conflict resolution amongst fans, worked as part of a team, and developed leadership skills. I also received significant hands-on promotional and stadium operations experience during my time with WSU marketing. Setting up and running in-game promotional activities for fans in the stands, on-field promotional supervision, and setting up the concourse and kids zone areas of the stadium. Working for the marketing team equipped me with a glimpse into how high-quality organizations are run and what is required of staff. Last spring, I worked as a member of WSU Athletics Tickets. I gained extensive experience in customer service and how to communicate with fans and accommodate their needs. Seeing how the ticket booth operated on a day-to-day basis was a unique opportunity that showed me how to handle high-ticket demand at the Division I level. I am excited about the prospect of working for an established organization in a great sports area. For a detailed description of my experience, please see my attached resume. I look forward to further discussing my qualifications with you. I can be reached at lucas.castilleja@wsu.edu or after 2 p.m. PT at (509) 783-0577. Thank you for your time and consideration, Lucas Castilleja
