I am a well rounded individual and i have experience from making repairs out on the road and getting the equipment home. I am creative with ideas to make repairs and come up with solutions. I like to repairs thinking of the next guy cause it might be me.
I hired as the night crew lead , responsible for keeping the crew on track, making repair orders for equipment when it came in, making sure everyone worked safe and accomplished the goals for the evening. I became the main project guy which included replacing transmissions and differentials and other larger projects. I have now moved into a trainer spot where I am responsible for training new employees and drivers and proper repairs and what their responsibilities are.
I started as trailer mechanic replacing airbags and other suspension parts, inspecting and replacing worn or bad brake parts. I also got put in charge of all fabricating on trailer cross members and trailer ribs. This included cutting and removing cross members and welding in new pieces. I also did roof and wall repairs to the vans when damaged. I worked my way into servicing trucks, greasing and inspections along with fluid swaps. I would perform annual inspections, tire inspections and repair worn suspension and drive train parts.
Washed trucks and trailers using pressure washer and fire hose during evening crew shifts. The responsibility involved making sure the equipment was clean on top and underneath along with scrubbing the trucks and vans. I also had to maintain the mud collection pits by using a skeedster to empty them, the water separation pits where also my responsibility with making sure mud did not build up in them and in the filters and pump. When asked I would go over to the trailer shop and assist with mounting and dismounting of tires on trucks and trailers, along with basic electrical work.
