Lucas Taylor

I worked as an analyst in a one-on-one setting under Alan Fragen at Lonestar. My work consisted of researching companies across many industries, from digital infrastructure to real estate, and constructing financial models using Excel. I combined my models with further research to make projections, and ultimately forecast stock prices. I gained skills in research, excel, and understanding investment strategies.

As a behavior technician, I use Applied Behavior Analysis techniques to treat children with autism. After an extensive online training, I had trainings in home settings, then worked one on one with clients in the Behavior Frontiers clinic. I was responsible for using ABA to correct client problem behaviors, as well as record data and track progress using PrioraCare during sessions. I was also responsible for maintaining the safety of clients, fellow caregivers, and myself using behavior intervention strategies.

As a surf instructor, I am responsible for the ocean safety and surf education of students. I am required to individually oversee multiple students at a time as well as work as part of a team of instructors to lead and teach. My passion for surfing has allowed me to make productive relationships with students, parents, and fellow instructors. I have gained leadership, teamwork, and decision making experience from this position.

I worked as a soccer coach and mentor for children with disabilities. I was responsible for keeping track of specific needs and accommodations of different children, teaching soccer and interpersonal skills, and building relationships. I gained leadership, teamwork, problem solving, and emergency management skills from this experience.

7Cups is an online teen therapy platform that connects teens struggling with mental health problems with a listener. To become a listener, I underwent a counseling training program that prepared me. As a listener, I had meaningful experiences connecting with people and gained interpersonal skills.
