Work History

Program Leader

AYA/WRAP
Long Beach, CA
08.2023 - Current
  • AYA/WRAP is a program that works with K-8th. As a program leader, my duties are to offer homework help, academic sessions, a multitude of age-appropriate enrichment and recreation activities, sports, nutrition education, and character development. As part of my training, I had to learn how to work better with children and come up with several activities to do with them. Training and working here have enhanced my skills, such as in leadership, project planning, multitasking, and most importantly, hard work.

Shipment Associate

Hollister
Salinas, CA
09.2022 - 07.2023
  • Working at Hollister has taught and improved my skills in multitasking and working under pressure. I have seen my improvement in customer service, such as my communication skills with customers. With a fast-paced job just like my last one, I continue to manage to keep working under these conditions.

Sales Associate

Pandora Jewelry
Salinas, CA
10.2021 - 01.2022
  • Working at Pandora made me step out of my comfort zone. This was a seasonal opening, but I gained experience with customer service, something I had never encountered. This was a fast-paced working environment, and I managed to keep up. One thing I enjoyed about this job was coming across with the customers, getting along with them, and making them feel welcome.

Youth Leader

Girls Inc.
Salinas, CA
08.2019 - 03.2020
  • As a Youth Leader, I worked in two programs, Will Power/Won't Power and Friendly PEERsuasion. Will Power/Won't Power helps young women develop assertive communication skills, form healthy relationships, and learn about teen health. Friendly PEERsuasion is a program designed to prepare girls to become facilitators for their elementary school peers, focusing on subtopics such as maintaining a healthy lifestyle, achieving academic success, and developing life skills necessary for adulthood. I attended various on-hand training sessions on planning weekly activities, including icebreakers. Working with Girls Inc. helped me with my public speaking and leadership skills. It helped me come out of my comfort zone and put myself out there. Overall, I enjoyed working with Girls Inc. because it helped me build strong relationship skills with my co-workers and the young girls.
