During this time, I had the opportunity to work as a long-term Substitute Math Teacher at New Buffalo High School, teaching Algebra and Geometry to 9th and 10th graders. Throughout one trimester, I developed and implemented lesson plans, continuously evaluated student progress, and provided individualized instruction as needed. I strived to establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment and effectively managed student behavior and engagement during lectures.

Design and implementation of comprehensive lesson plans for Calculus I, Calculus II, and Linear Algebra. During my tenure at this prestigious institution, I developed and executed instructional strategies aimed at fostering a deep conceptual understanding of course material among college students. I emphasized problem-solving and facilitated discussions to enhance engagement and comprehension.

Facilitated one-on-one tutoring sessions, tailoring approaches to meet individual student needs. This experience allowed me to closely engage with students and understand underlying reasons behind their lack of self-confidence in learning math. It helped me develop compassion and recognize the importance of addressing failure and the psychological aspects of learning. By fostering a supportive environment, I focused on building the skills necessary for students to succeed in math.
