DNP Research Project, Quality improvement project submitted to the Journal of Vascular Nursing for publication that focused on understanding the importance of screening for abdominal aortic aneurysm.

Activities

  • Professional Nurse Advancement Program (PNAP), 01/01/18, 2019, Henry Ford Macomb hospital created this program at our hospital to enable nurses to grow professionally with continued education, research opportunities, and volunteer work within the community we serve.

Review new policies and procedures within our facility and create innovative new ways to present the information for increased understanding and compliance. Volunteer of the Hospital Elder Life Program (HELP), Henry Ford Macomb Hospital, 2018, 2019, The programs goals included screening elder patients at risk for delirium or functional decline and provide targeted interventions and protocols to improve their outcomes to maximize their independence for discharge. Duties included chart review, interviewing patients at need, and providing interventions for volunteers to complete with patients enrolled into the program.
