I worked as a cashier, with a company that values customer service over everything, which helped me learn how to make every experience positive, even if issues arise. I have also babysat for multiple families, helping to solve issues if the kids were bored, fighting, were upset, giving me skills in multitasking and problem solving. In addition, I worked at a retirement home as a waitress, but also as a caretaker, listening to any issues residents were having, and reporting them to my manger, helping to make there living experience a better one. Through my experiences at my past jobs, I was able to learn professional skills, problem solving, team work, listening skills, and professionalism.

My senior year of high school I was chosen as my Color Guard teams captain, which helped to develop my leaderships skills. I worked with all the members of my team and my coaches to help make it a safe and welcoming environment for everyone in our organization. Through communication skills with my fellow team members, I learned what communication is effective in order to make a more positive space for everyone in our program.
