Motivated young educator with demonstrated expertise in classroom teaching, coaching, and tutoring. I have excelled in leading courses ranging from fitness to public and environmental health, including successfully revamping UCLA’s Introduction to Environmental Health course to better align with undergraduate learning needs. As an innovative and reliable leader committed to promoting diversity and growth within academia, I am driven by the goal of empowering first-to-go-to-college students from marginalized and impoverished backgrounds to pursue education as a path to a better future. My career goals include becoming a university-level educator and teaching critical topics such as drinking water quality, nutrition, and the disproportionate impact of natural disasters on people of color. My life mission is to use education to raise awareness of systemic issues leading to poorer health outcomes for people of color and to bring resources that will champion positive change in these communities.
