  • The purpose of “Wolfiethon” is a year-long effort dedicated to encouraging diversity, promoting unity among university students and the Stony Brook community, and raising money and awareness for The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation. Wolfiethon culminates each school year with an 8-hour dance marathon fundraiser. In the pursuit of this general purpose, Wolfiethon will work to: (1) host fundraisers and events to provide financial and emotional support to families of children with cancer as well as fund critical, cutting-edge childhood cancer research; (2) promote childhood cancer awareness; (3) interact with our local B+ Heroes( kids with cancer); (4) partner with Greek organizations, sports teams, clubs, and multicultural organizations to further the goals above
  • Every school day, 46 children are diagnosed with cancer. Childhood cancer is the #1 disease killer of children and the ultimate mission of wolfiethon is to give kids a chance to grow up.
