I have worked in the CTE class for four years. I also have been a varsity starting tennis player since my freshman year. Sophomore year I was chosen to be the captain of the team. After the year was over I was awarded the athlete of character award for my leadership ability I demonstrated. I have a strong sense of people and am beyond capable of rallying a team of people together to accomplish a goal or task.
Career Technical Education course, event production and management. Learn basic communication skills in a business setting putting on performances for all sorts of different programs. Meetings with teachers and show directors to get their wants for a show, assemble a team and make it happen. Lighting and audio engineering with the Hog4 lighting board and a Yamaha audio controller. Woodworking and craftsmanship are a key essential to putting on a performance. Practice managing groups of people in order to successfully put on a show that is on par with professional level.
Career Technical Education requires at least ten hours of community service per semester. I have been in the program for roughly four years and have accumulated around 150 community service hours. I have worked on every show since freshman year and lead many teams of different people over my four year CTE career.
