• Ensure that the voyage is carried out according to set standards and international rules and requirements.
• Ensure all safety, security, and environmental regulations are followed and action is taken when necessary.
• Take necessary action to ensure the ship’s safety.
• Maintain discipline on the bridge and ensure that all watch keeping personnel properly perform their duties.
• ·Navigation officer- navigation, voyage planning, itinerary planning and preparation, navigational updates, weather and navigational efficiency.
• Firefighting officer- Supervise ,coordinate and conduct inspections and maintenance of the ship's firefighting equipment.
• LSA officer Supervise the maintenance and repair of lifeboats, rescue boats, tenders, descent gear and all life saving equipment
