I am a compassionate and dedicated RN with 10 years of experience, primarily in critical care as an ICU Float, supporting units such as CTICU, Neuro ICU, Med-Surg, Surgical, Trauma, and MRI. I also have a background in inpatient psychiatric care at a state hospital. Currently pursuing my MSN-PMHNP at Walden University, I am seeking a preceptor for my first practicum, PRAC 6635: Psychopathology and Diagnostic Reasoning, scheduled from November 24, 2025, to February 8, 2026.

Known for being proactive, adaptable, and dependable, I bring strong time management and problem-solving skills, and I'm eager to build a solid foundation in advanced practice.

• Patients: Individuals across the lifespan (children to older adults) with psychiatric and substance use disorders..
• Services: Assessment and diagnosis of acute and chronic mental health and substance use conditions.
• Preceptor Requirements: PMHNP or board-certified psychiatrist with at least 1 year of experience, not currently a Walden NP student, and not exceeding the 1:1 student-to-preceptor ratio. Students must confirm they are the only student assigned for the term.

PRAC 6635: Psychopathology and Diagnostic Reasoning

• Patients: Individuals across the lifespan (children, adolescents, adults, older adults) with psychiatric and substance use disorders.
• Services: Assessment and diagnosis of acute and chronic mental health and substance use conditions.
• Preceptor: PMHNP or board-certified psychiatrist.
• Sites: Approved psychiatric settings including private practices, community centers, crisis centers, rehab facilities, college counseling, EAPs, inpatient units, and correctional behavioral health programs.
• Requirements: 160 hours over at least 8 weeks, with a minimum of 80 patient encounters. At least 5 encounters must be with children/adolescents and 5 with adults/older adults.
