I do a great job working with students and showing them that they have someone in their corner supporting them. I will do everything in my power to make sure each student that I come in contact with is shown love and support. I have a heart to teach these students to the best of my ability. In any way that they need to be taught I intend on doing it. If anything that I do does not work, I will talk to a mentor or do some research on what may help my student.
I was and intern at Graceville many time throughout my college career. I have worked with first, third, and ninth - tenth grade. Majority of this time was spent observing the teachers as they taught their class, but I have spend some time teaching. I have taught in a first grade class for their reading lesson, I have also taught third grade, science, reading, and math.
This is a summer camp that occurs every summer at Eastside Baptist Church in Marianna, Fl. It works with students ages 3-13. My job was to work with the three and four year olds every summer. I would take them to each activity such as art, music, science, or rec. We would also have field trip days; the students would go on trips every Tuesday and Thursday.
I have worked at this camp many summers, and attended it when I was a child. I have spent a few summers working as a youth counselor, but have continued my time there as a cabin leader and youth leader. During my time as cabin leader I worked with students of all ages, but primarily worked with 4th grade students. I spent another summer working as the youth leader. I helped lead the students in bible study and taught them what it meant to lead the campers responsibly.
I was a nanny for two amazing boys when I was a senior in high school. I would pick them up from school and spend time with them and play games with them until their parents got home from work. I was able to build a great relationship with them throughout my time as their nanny. I was working with a third grader and his little brother who was four years old.
