Lydiene Ajebe, a multi-state licensed Registered Nurse in New Jersey, graduated from William Paterson University with a Bachelor's in Science of Nursing. She began her nursing career at St. Joseph's University Medical Hospital as a Med-Surg/Ventilation RN, where she gained experience caring for a variety of patients and tracheostomy and ventilator patients. Ajebe's goal is to help patients thrive in the best way possible. She prides herself on being a positive light for her patients and coworkers.
As a Med-Surg RN I was tasked with taking care of 5-6 patients within a 12-hour shift. I cared for a wide variety of patients including Trach and Ventilator dependent patients. During my shift I was responsible for Head-to-Toe assessments, proper charting and documentation, medication administration, wound care, trach care, ostomy care, performing nursing procedures such as inserting an indwelling foley, administering enemas, administering blood transfusions, providing patient education, assessing the patient's care plans, collaborating with other interdisciplinary health care members and many other skills that can be seen under the skills heading.
