Began my career in law enforcement as the Warrant Clerk at the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office. I advanced my education and training by attending and graduating the Jefferson County Law Enforcement Academy. I worked through the ranks as Patrol Deputy, Criminal Investigator, Mental Health Officer, Deputy Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, and Chief Deputy. I am the first and only female supervisor in the Law Enforcement Division at the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office. During my career, I was a SWAT member, squad leader, assistant team leader, and SWAT Commander for a total of approximately 18 years. I was the first and still only female to accomplish those tactical skills and leadership. Currently at this time, I am the only female Chief Deputy in the State of Alabama.
