I am a passionate teacher who placed my professional career on hold to raise my family, grow a local business, and volunteer in the community. During this time, I was also dedicated to homeschooling my three children, who are thriving in their education journeys. My daughter enrolled last year as a junior at Yelm High School to pursue her Associate in Business DTA at SPSCC as a full-time running start student. She holds a 3.95 cumulative GPA and will graduate with her high school and associate degree this 2023/24 school year. As for my sons, they continue to excel at home in fifth and tenth grade while also participating in Yelm school sports and activities. However, as I continue my quest to give back, I miss the classroom and the direct involvement in building strong leaders. This is why I would like to return part-time to the classroom. With my dedication to learning and experience as a small business owner, I can benefit the Yelm schools as a substitute teacher and positively impact the future of our community.
