• I have the product quality testing skills sets with operational experiences, cross functional engagement and process development. I would offer the following for your consideration.
• I have 2 years of Lab experience and is responsible for all quality decisions on the 2nd shift. My lab skills are focuses around 4 primary task to test plastic materials; Polyethylene Terephthalate (PETE or PET), High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE), Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE), Polypropylene (PP) and Nylon 6 and 66.
• Conducting testing such as the following
• Melt flow rate by moving molten material at a single flow rate, a single shear rate, and capturing full range of the behavior of a material as a function of changing shear rate.
• Preparing samples through a large press 100 ton injection mold press.
• Tensile Testing by exposing the sample to a controlled amount of tension until failure occurs. During this test, other material properties can also be determined to guide design or production teams in making product or component improvements; measurements of direct properties such as breaking strength, reduction in area, maximum elongation, and the ultimate tensile strength of the material.
• Charpy Notched Bar Impact Testing to determine a material’s toughness, brittleness and ductility. These test methods of impact testing relate specifically to the behavior of metal when subjected to a single application of a force resulting in multi-axial stresses associated with a notch, coupled with high rates of loading and in some cases with high or low temperatures.
• I have a strong commitment to safety and have participated in team training. I have an introduction to LEAN, plant application to finding quality alerts, ( early warning of non-conformance), process training, change management, collaboration with shift leaders on shift changes, planning the lab out for the shift and support our team. Most importantly, I can bring solutions to the opportunities discovered to support our daily operations.
