2nd grade teacher

During the first 3 weeks of school I was in charge of getting the students back into the routines of school. We reviewed old routines and new ones. We went over classroom rules and put them into practice right away. I started to create a sense of classroom community by doing various welcoming activities such as morning meetings. Created a sense of comfort and safety in the room while getting to know each individual student personally. I had 16 kids with all different needs at various different learning levels so I had to take that into consideration all day while teaching and working with them. I adapted my teaching style based on the individual and their specific needs and set of goals.
