  • Part of the Crew Travel services team that acquires services and oversees the performance of vendors that total 412 contract and 44 non-contract. These contracts cover, with a few exceptions, every location at which FedEx operates a scheduled freight flight.
  • Handled INSITE reports - the tool used by FedEx pilots for hotel and ground transportation issues, concerns, suggestions and compliments. Approximately 2000 reports are processed each year.
  • New City Openings - From initial research through to contract completion, CTS ensures services are provided as expected per the pilot's Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Assist the Flight Service Desk in Memphis to resolved any issues on the day of operation. Also assist Global Disbursements as needed.
  • The department's fiduciary responsibility require careful management of an annual hotel, ground transportation and in-flight catering services exceeding $70 million annually.
  • Flight Delays: review, edit, and provide follow-up for arbitration or corrective action by vendor within a few days.

  • Negotiated contracts with vendors, securing favorable terms for the company and its clients.
  • The hotel is connected to the convention center and both were under renovation while I was there. I was hired to increase business travel.
  • Provided exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns promptly and effectively resolving issues.
  • The hotel's General Manager was a area GM over the corporate owned Marriott's in Memphis. Along the GM, Area Revenue Manager, I attended monthly meetings. Part of my job requirements was to arrange events for clients of all of the corporate hotels: receptions and family night at the Memphis Redbirds (farm club to the St Louis Cardinals).
  • The hotel added a two-hundred room wing and added new meeting space. I was one of the planners of the event for all hotel clients and city officials to attend the grand opening.
  • Awarded the Chairman's Circle award for exceeding my sales budget. That year the event was held in Las Vegas.

  • Achieved sales goals and service targets by cultivating and securing new customer relationships.
  • Increased business travel by developing relationships with top twenty clients and their travel departments that booked reservations at the hotel. While these included sales calls and events at the hotel, other clients were contacted by phone to be sure they understood that there was a separate telephone number for them to call.
  • This job required overseeing the PEPRS program (Peabody Executive Preferred Reservation System.) for the key contacts at all major Memphis businesses had a negotiated rate for the hotel and benefits were designed for the person making the reservation but the guest also received benefits.
  • Attended GBTA that later became NBTA (National Business Travel Association) as a member of Preferred Hotels. A client dinner was held and I represented the hotel in their booth. This allowed me to meet many of the clients that I only knew from submitting a RFP (Request for Pricing).
  • Was a member of Executive Women International and attended their annual conferences.
  • Held quarterly birthday luncheons and an annual holiday luncheon for all PEPRS members.
