Summary

As a student of Psychology at Lewis & Clark College I am committed to making the best of my professional ventures and interpersonal relationships. With a particular interest in education and child development, I am devoted to facilitating social change and a sense of community in every environment I find myself in. Currently I have been furthering my experience in teaching and leading elementary and middle school classrooms, as well as managing student behavior and classroom management. With a love for learning and working with people my best foot is always put forward in any project I choose to undergo.

SUN
02.2025 - Current
  • As a volunteer with SUN I helped tutor students from 6th to 8th grade after school two days a week for an hour and a half.
  • After helping students with their homework, I would engage with students in fun activities such as basketball and other games.

  • As a member of Lewis & Clark College’s Campus Activities Board I am involved in weekly meetings to plan, coordinate, and execute events for the Lewis & Clark College student body.
  • Events are entirely planned by students and impact thousands of members of our campus community, ranging from our annual Fall/Spring Formal, campus-wide haunted houses, and coordinating large sporting events on campus.

  • Helped pioneer Generation Teach’s first site in Aurora, CO.
  • Completed intensive pre-summer and in-person training in identity, community building, content, and teaching.
  • Taught two sections of law 5 days a week for 5 weeks, as well as two sections of fitness/movement for the same duration.
  • Received daily coaching, feedback, and guided practice from professional teachers, while planning and leading engaging community building initiatives to foster strong student relationships and investment following school closures.
  • Completed 360 hour term of AmeriCorps service.

Seasonal Program Assistant

  • Visit various fourth and fifth grade classrooms around the Portland area with local business partners such as LAM Research, and Nike.
  • Visits range from STEM lessons to engaging activities which help foster learning and change the mindsets of underrepresented students’ they may feel they have no place in science or learning.
  • Main concerns dealt with the effectiveness of our programming and offering competent training towards business partners and other volunteers.
