Christian Husband and Father

The Lord
10.2020 - Current

Since being saved by my Lord Jesus Christ, I believe it is every man's responsibility to be the head of his home and family, to be a model to the community and to be committed to spreading the Gospel. I strive to submit to the bible in the way that I should conduct myself. I minister to my wife and ensure she has a strong reliance and relationship with our Lord. I am raising my children in the belief that our gifts are to be used to help others. We show the love Christ displayed on the cross by loving those around us.

I briefly led a mens breakfast at my local church. My intention was to provide a time for men to discuss how to model Christ for our friends and family. Also, how we can use our bodies and minds to meet the physical needs of those around us. I believe that encouraging and sharpening our follow man is crucial for spreading the Gospel.

My wife has served our local church on the worship team, and in the children's ministry. This includes her being "Rock city coach" in which she handled the schedule for volunteers, prepared activities and games for the children and leading them in worship. As well as assisting in organizing our churches annual Vacation Bible School for the last 4 years. This involved choosing a theme, building sets, writing skits, organizing volunteers, and managing the day to day activities of VBS. She currently serves at Life Change camp as the summer program director.

After my wife and I were recruited to serve in the children's ministry, I was asked to become a teacher. I was responsible for creating a 30-45 min message pertaining to Gods word, and a key point for the message. It grew a passion in me for learning more about His word so that I would be better equipped to educate my children and others. I love exploring the bible and gaining new understanding of Him through the Holy Spirit. Last year while we were serving at LCC, I had an opportunity to bring a message to the junior high students. I very much enjoyed it. I also served at our VBS, led teams of students in games and various activities, helping build the sets, and participated in drama skits.

My wife and I have a very diverse family. All of them have a varying degree of relationship to our Lord. We are committed to pointing them to the father by speaking life over them, citing scripture and being an example of what it looks like to be in a relationship with Christ. The Spirit can use us to bring those who are distant, closer to him.

Our desire as a family is to serve the Lord with all of our heart, mind and body. We have committed to being open to however he sees fit to use us. We are obedient to his word and committed to the great mission of creating disciples. We love serving the youth and adults alike. Connecting with people and sharing our experiences and what the Lord has revealed to us about him.
