Hands-on patient care with diverse population groups including: Wound care, splinting, transport, lab draws, 12-lead EKGs, assessing basic/orthostatic vitals, IV placement including ultrasounds, hygienic care, CPR, ventilations as needed, and post-mortem care.
Assist and communicate with a team of EMT's, nurses, physicians, and specialists, in various procedures and responses within the ER including collecting/sending specimens, pelvic exams, ambulance greet, in-coming trauma alerts or stats, and code blue.
In charge of setting up and stocking emergency medical equipment for the staff based on patient need.
Frequent multitasking and task prioritization in fast-paced, periodically stressful environment while maintaining a calm disposition.
Perform front end duties such as answering phones, chart upkeep, telemetry monitoring, and scheduling as needed.
Conduct self in a proficient and professional manner and promote an environment that is conductive to quality customer service.
Properly document all procedures as required and without error.
