During my time as a manager, student, and intern I became a proficient multitasker with a great interest in team work. With my attentive eye to detail, superior work ethic, and problem-solving skills I was willing to take on any task to help my team. As a reliable and dedicated team player, it later helped me to thoroughly enjoy my time as a student intern at Guilford County Parent Academy while attending UNCG. It challenged my adaptation skills and strengthened my communication skills. During my years of interactions with coworkers, customers, teachers, and my peers I have been able to add to my wealth of knowledge and grow my understanding of the importance of patience. I am now a passionate job seeker with strong interpersonal skills and find myself eager to secure the position of being a child autism support professional for Action Behavior Centers at Wake Forest.
While in the role of an intern at Guilford County Schools I assisted in preparing workshop presentations that gave resourceful information about online programs that can be used at home by parents to contributed to the academic success of their children. I helped to support staff members with their daily tasks which allowed an increased focus on higher priority tasks, which helped to create a positive work environment. During my ~2 month internship, I was able to fulfill my goal of enhancing my workplace interaction skills which contributed to my professional development for future employment opportunities.
While in this role my responsibilities included maintaining a good store ambience in addition to performing and directing daily operations. This often included addressing and resolving customer concerns promptly, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty. I was also proficient in cash register operations being as though I was entrusted to and tasked with training new cashiers. These tasks were performed effectively in self-directed work environment while managing day-to-day store operations and decisions.
