• A position funded by the American Recovery Act under Dr Daniel Bogenhagen,  to study effects of ethanol on liver mitochondrial DNA adducts in ALDH knock-out mice Also worked on characterizing various proteins associated with DNA damage repair in mitochondrial DNA adducts, using fluorescent proteins tagged with mitochondrial proteins.
  

• Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Student towards Master of Science in Experimental Pathology performed cutting edge research on colon cancer and pancreatic cancer with major focus on role of microRNAs in various signaling pathways in carcinogenesis.
