Silver Award

It is the second highest award a Girl Scout can earn. To be able to complete this award you need a minimum of 50 service hours. It is hard and take a lot off time and dedication to complete this award. I completed my Silver Award early last year and I did it on Cat Rubbess. Cat Rubbess are foam pieces that go on the outside of cats cages and they help they have less stress and be more comfortable in the shelters. I worked with Animal Care and Control and it's director Amy Jo Sites and we made the idea come to life. I made them by hand and I tought the youth on how to make them and how it helps the cats in the sheleters.
