      This time was spent visiting assisted living, independent living, and skilled nursing facilities. During my time with AYDVHC I completed Medicare wellness exams, communicated with nursing staff and families, provided preventative care screenings, addressed acute patient’s needs, and managed a multitude of chronic conditions.

• Ohio State University Heart and Vascular Center (Spring 2024)

      225 clinical hours

      This time was spent in clinic seeing patients for a multitude of cardiac conditions. A large part of our time was spent treating coronary artery disease, atrial fibrillation, resistant hypertension, and congestive heart failure. This experience allowed me to become more familiar with cardiac arrhythmias and management of antiarrhythmic therapy with frequent monitoring. Additionally, this experience allowed me to practice managing complex patients with several comorbidities. I had the opportunity to titrate CHF medications, interpret EKGs, review diagnostics, interpret lab results, and become more familiar with the guidelines for treating cardiac conditions.
