During my high school career, I was a member of the ASL Club, ASL Honor Soceity, and Students for the Poor. I was also a member of the volleyball team and went on a mission trip to Belize. During my involvement in Students for the Poor, we would make meals at the St. Francis House, and we also went to many homeless shelters and helped clean homes and helped with the children. Going to Belize was the most impactful week of my life and it was here where I found one of my passions, helping those in need without knowing their circumstances. OVer three years I taught the children, earning my teaching certificate, maintained my classroom, stepped up when needed, and helped organize other classrooms.
In November of 2023, I started at Baker-Gilmour Cardiovascular Institute. I was the check-in receptionist until May of 2024 where I switched to the check-out and outgoing receptionist. In my current position, I am responsible for scheduling the appropriate testing and follow-up appointments. I also schedule 4 of the main procedures our doctors perform, Heart Catheterizations and Aortograms, TEE's and Cardioversion. I am responsible for communicating with the two hospitals we use, emailing and faxing the orders, as well as giving the patients the appropriate instructions.
