My dream is to help in any way possible, to leave this Earth better than we have had it and ensure there is still the natural beauty of nature for generations to come. I hope one day we won’t have to worry about climate injustice and how millions of people will be without clean water or a safe place to live. I grew up in the mountains for a good part of my life in which I could look down at the valley and the smog that covered the valley like a blanket of health risks. I also got to see nature up close, deer would run up to me and eat peanuts out of my hand, birds would fly close not scared of me, and squirrels would climb up the trees and hide their acorns. Seeing these images as a kid, taught me how to cherish the world and how the choices we make everyday affect the innocent lives of animals. It also showed me the importance of agriculture and develop an appreciation for farmers. When given my degree of Environmental Studies, I want to protect nature and the animals that don’t have a voice in which they are able to do so. I want to achieve this by helping ensure major corporations are doing their part in limiting their emissions and finding new ways in which they are able to produce more sustainably. I want to promote sustainability and help educate people on how their choices affect the outcome of our world and climate change.
