Summary of what I did while working there:
- I worked as an assistant teacher primarily in the toddler room (ages 1-2) but I worked with all ages at some point during my time there. I went where I was asked to go.
- My biggest job was to do whatever the lead teacher needed me to do.
- I maintained a clean and safe environment, changed dozens of diapers a day, and took kids that were potty training to the bathroom.
- I created a nurturing environment for up to 12 kids ages 1-2, while collaborating with other caregivers.
- Clearly communicated and coordinated with parents to ensure each child's needs were met.
- Administered meals and any medications specific to each child's dietary restrictions and/or plans, including lactose intolerance, nut intolerance, and allergy medication.
- Effectively interacted with infants and toddlers, working towards specific age-appropriate milestones.
- Created a fun and interactive environment, planning activities that both entertained and stimulated the children.
