My name is Madison Lenox. I am a current student at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, enrolled in the college of the arts and perusing my undergraduate degree in Architecture with a minor in Interior Design. I then plan to continue my education at ULL in their Masters of Architecture program. I am very passionate about my faith and relationship with Christ. I love to help out with retreats or events for local Catholic youth groups and high schools. I strive to do my best in whatever I am doing, whether that be my paying job, my school work, or in community service, I am always working to get better. My job experience as a receptionist, babysitter, and computer lab employee have provided me with many valuable skills that I will be able to utilize in future work environments. My involvement in my faith and community service, have given me a heart for serving and loving others in everything I do no matter who they are or what they are going through.
I have been involved with many community service organizations in Lafayette. These include, St. Joseph's Diner and the Food Net Food Bank with Catholic Charities, and The Hub Lafayette. These community service opportunities have provided me with a way to serve those experiencing homelessness in the Lafayette community and gain relationships with them.
I have been involved and helped out with many youth groups and Catholic high schools in the Lafayette area. These include St. Leo Edge, St. Mary Mother of the Church Lifeteen, and Sts. Peter and Paul Confirmation. I have also served as a young adult leader on retreats for Teurlings Catholic Highschool and St. Thomas Moore High School. This year I am currently leading Sts. Peter and Paul's 7th grade, pre-confirmation, group. These leadership roles have provided me with more confidence in my leadership abilities. They have also allowed me to gain relationships with youth and strive to help them grow in their faith.
