Work History

Volunteer Jr. Coach

Girls On The Run
2021.09 - 2024.11

I Volunteered as a Junior Coach for Girls On The Run for 3 years. As a Junior Coach, I helped 3rd- 6th grade girls communicate with others. I was responsible for ensuring all the girls were focused and engaging in the lesson while also being someone they could talk to if they were having trouble at school or home. When I was in 4th grade to 6th grade I was in the GOTR program where I learned many lessons so now teaching those lessons feels so rewarding. I've learned many lessons from being in the program and as a Junior Coach, like working as a team, communicating skills, and much more that I can use in a work environment.

If you have any questions regarding me as a Junior Coach, you can contact the head Coach, Alyson Niles, at (802)236-3391

Volunteer "Buddy"

Special Olympics
2023.05 - 2024.05

I volunteered for Special Olympics for two years now and plan on doing it for the next two years of high school. I get the do this opportunity because I am in a club at school called APR. This club is for future special education teachers, and this club helps us have hands-on experience like going to the Special Olympics and many more opportunities to learn about the field. As a buddy at Special Olympics, you get assigned a child or two from your school, and your responsibility is to make sure they make all of their events on time and in an organized manner. At the Special Olympics, it can get crazy and very overstimulating; you have to learn to stay calm and help if needed. I have learned lots of things from APR and Special Olympics like teamwork, I can figure out obstacles, and I can deal with stressful environments but still get the job done.

Volunteer at Toy Bingo

Our Lady Of Victory Church
2022.12 - 2023.12

I worked at Toy Bingo for two years at Our Lady Of Victory Church. I was in their youth group for 3 years (2021-2023), so I got opportunities to help with activities like toy bingo. It was quite fun the first year. I sang karaoke for no reason, just out of pure joy. It was so fun seeing the kids who won get their prizes, and I also have amazing memories before toy bingo; just setting up with all my friends was truly so fun.

Cooking/Baking

I always have had joy in cooking and baking, I have always wanted to be in the kitchen since I was little, I would help my mom make and decorate cakes for her small business when I was a child. Experimenting with new things in the kitchen is my favorite, and if it doesn't work out or taste right the first time I keep making the dish until it does. There is some peace while baking or cooking. It's therapeutic to create something.

Additional Information

I am a hard-working and dedicated individual who strives to help others whenever possible. With excellent communication skills, I find it easy to work effectively in a team. I am dependable, organized, and able to stay focused on tasks.
