I am a current junior at the University of South Carolina studying exercise science on a pre-med track in sports medicine. This year I am seeking more involvement in USC organizations and research to help me become an even more diverse and versatile student. I have gained an immense amount of hands on experience in the medical field as a CNA at Shore Medical. I learned how proper bedside manner should be given, how to take blood glucose levels with a glucometer, as well as shadowed the nursing staff during their rounds. Working as an undergraduate research assistant gave me a lot of knowledge on randomized control trials and the recruitment process of participants.
