Organized and dependable candidate successful at managing multiple priorities with a positive attitude. Willingness to take on added responsibilities to meet team goals.
As an animal wrangler, I assisted the head wrangler in training, care and feeding of Tuacahns animals while supporting the head wrangler in show performances and prepared the animal’s needs of nightly productions.
As a lead trail guide/ barn manager, I would oversee the proper care of horses, supervise employees, order supplies, equipment, and feed, schedule appointments for the farrier and vet visits, take guests out on a trail ride while making sure they are safe and are given a pleasant riding experience, as well as maintaining the up keep on the grounds.
As a jousting assistant; I helped prepare our draft horses by riding them frequently and exercising them for our jousters before the months of our jousting shows. My other duties included helping set up/take down our jousting arena. Feeding/Mucking, and making sure our horses and jousters were always safe and taken care of during shows.
As a trainer’s assistant, my job is responsible for implementing the exercise and training routines set in place by the trainer. I often provide initial training contact with young or troublesome horses and create a foundation of general etiquette and manners.
As a wrangler/trail guide, my duties and responsibilities were to make sure the horses were fed, groomed, ridden, and exercised daily to keep in shape. I would occasionally hold horses for farriers and vets, and supplemented personal medication in each grain bowl if needed. Additional work was to muck out each stall, corral, and fixed fences and gates if they were damaged or broken.
