My daily tasks include:

• Preparing and cleaning the surgery suite, before and after surgery’s
• Assisting with traveling specialists, (cardiologists, anesthesiologists, Ultrasonographers)
• Placing IV catheters
• Monitoring anesthesia and recovering patients
• Cleaning, sterilizing, and wrapping surgery packs and gowns
• Maintenance around the hospital, such as cleaning, ordering, organizing, and stocking
• Flexible as a room technician and to help where there is a need
• Client education and follow up communication

My tasks included:

• Cross trained as a receptionist and treatment technician
• Monitored sedation's and anesthesia for patients
• Client interaction and education
• Administered vaccines
• Venipuncture and IV catheter placement
• TPR and triaged patients
• Puppy & Kitten information packs on what to do for new pet owners
• Managed the social media sites for the veterinary hospital (since July 2022)
• Stocked and cleaned the hospital
• Filled medications and managed the online pharmacy for clients
• Disinfected and performed proper PPE for infections disease cases
• Performed proper restraint for x-rays and submitted x-ray studies to either IDEXX or ANTECH imagining services
• Sent out lab work to specialty labs, (vaccine titers, GI panels, ACTH, LDDST, etc)

My tasks included:

• Stocked the hospital
• Filled the isoflorane and changed the carbolime granules
• Cleaned surgical instruments, including laparoscopic equipment
• Ran the autoclave and gas sterilizer
• Performed venipuncture and ran in-house lab work
• Restrained animals for venipuncture or ultrasounds

I was promoted to ICU technician assistant at AVC, (previously was a hospital assistant). My tasks included:

• TPR/vitals hourly on ICU patients
• Walked hospitalized animals
• Fed and medicated hospitalized patients
• Filled medications
• Stocked and cleaned the ICU

I worked at the Hser Ner Moo Center and Woodrow Wilson Elementary School as an after school program coordinator.

• Researched, created, and executed children’s projects for kindergartners and first graders
• Helped with homework and reading time with the kids
• Created lessons consisting of a weekly theme with associated activities
• Chaperoned children on field trip outings
• Attended staff development meetings and continuing education lessons catered to ages 5 years -12 years old
• Created a trusting/safe environment where the kids felt comfortable coming to me for guidance/advice
