Doctoral Capstone Project: Program Development

Creating a Mental Health Program for Middle School Students titled Mindscapes to improve self-expression and self-confidence through creative mediums.

• Worked with professors and community groups to develop personal projects for program development support.
• Mentored other students to support collaborative learning and further promote educational objectives.
• Brought new perspectives to classroom discussions with materials found during independent research.

Second 12-week Doctoral Fieldwork Rotation

Target Population: Pediatrics

• Performed evaluations and assessments to recommend best treatment for individual patients ages 6 months to 18 years old.
• Cultivated interpersonal skills by building positive relationships with patients, parents, and therapy team.
• Used strong analytical and problem-solving skills to develop effective solutions for challenging situations.

First 12-week Doctoral Fieldwork Rotation

Target Population: Adults & Geriatrics

• Performed evaluations and assessments to recommend best treatment for individual patients ages 15 to 80+ years old.
• Developed strong communication and organizational skills through direct communication with hospital staff.
• Determined best treatment plans to meet objectives for school, work, and home life for all patients.
