• Proficient in starting peripheral lines and blood draws
• Skilled in administering IM and SubQ injections
• Experience with managing heparin and insulin drips
• Experience with accessing implanted ports, drug administration, and care of tunneled central lines, peripherally inserted central lines, and peripheral IVs
• Chemotherapy trained RN
• Bone Marrow Transplant Certified RN
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions, and act quickly and calmly in the event of a reaction
• Communicates with multidisciplinary teams to review and release treatments plans, and ensuring dose calculations are correct and safe for administration
• Provides emotional support and education to patients and families, fostering a compassionate environment throughout the treatment journey
• Participation and identification of code-blue situations
• Experience with the administration of immune globulins, blood products, and monoclonal antibodies, as indicated per treatment plans and lab results
