- My duties and responsibilities in the zoo change often and require flexibility. I monitor and guide guests with giraffe feeding, ensuring both guest and animal welfare during this experience. During the “Walkabout” Experience I ensure guests understand and follow the rules to once again ensure both guest and animal welfare as well as providing education and information about the animals present within the enclosure. I am a cast member in our show team where I perform short skits for the children and am trained in using technical equipment involving sound systems and microphones. In Ranger Station I am assigned to provide information about the various state parks within California as well as educate guests on various biofacts within the area such as skull identification and various information regarding California native animals.
- I have been given awards for my customer service skills and have been asked to create a training curriculum for the Walkabout.
