Maggie Gerken

At Resin, you work alongside kids to help guide them in creating different mediums and styles of art. Beginning their class, you are paired up and assist them as they pick a project to work on. The kids are encouraged to stretch their creativity, requiring you to be open-minded, supportive, and quick on your feet.

As Secretary, I am in charge of monthly logging and collecting proof for all active drama members' thespian points. I keep a log of everyone's attendance at board meetings and events. In addition, I take notes for every event and meeting, then send the information to those who were absent. This position requires one to be extremely organized and communicative with other members on board. I closely interact with adults in charge of the program and help set and clean up program events.

During this program, you to work alongside counselors to help assist with teaching children S.T.E.A.M.-based skills. We also helped with the setup of different games during free play and are in charge of cleanup. Frequently, we lead group activities and help with themed event days. We ensured all the children were engaged and learning while having fun!
