
experience installing, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining low-voltage systems in commercial, industrial, and residential facilities. Proficient in structured cabling, CCTV, access control, fire alarm, intrusion alarm, public address (PA), intercom, data networks, and fiber optic systems. Experienced in reading blueprints, terminating and testing cables, configuring network devices, and ensuring compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and project specifications. Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capability to work independently or as part of a team while delivering reliable and high-quality installations.
Install coaxial (RG6/RG11) or fiber-optic drop from the utility tap/pedestal/pole to the customer premises.
Route and secure indoor/outdoor cable runs.
Drill wall penetrations and weather-seal all exterior openings.
Install wall plates, connectors, splitters, grounding blocks, and network terminations.
Mount and activate modem, gateway/router, ONT (fiber), and set-top equipment if applicable.
Connect customer devices (Wi-Fi, Ethernet, smart TVs, VoIP phones).
Service & Troubleshooting
Diagnose no internet, intermittent service, slow speeds, packet loss, and Wi-Fi complaints.
Test signal levels (downstream/upstream power, SNR/MER, attenuation, ingress/egress).
Use signal meters, OTDR/light meters (fiber), coax meters, toner/tracer tools, and network test equipment.
Replace damaged cable, connectors, splitters, amplifiers, power supplies, or modems.
Isolate faults between:
customer equipment,
inside wiring.
drop cable,
tap/pedestal,
neighborhood plant.
