  • Developed microscale physical and numerical (FEM) models to analyze the mechanisms governing solid-state welding of aluminum alloys under severe plastic deformations.
  • Conducted comprehensive microstructure and mechanical behavior analyses on various series of processed aluminum alloys, utilizing a wide range of techniques including LOM, SEM, EDX, EBSD, metallography, ion milling, FIB, tensile, and microhardness testing; samples were prepared in accordance with ASTM standards.
  • Established a relationship between processing, microstructure, and mechanical properties for 3-D printed aluminum alloys fabricated by Selective Laser Melting (SLM) technique, through a collaborative research project with fellow colleagues.
  • Contributed significantly to the success of a research project in collaboration with the University of Calabria, Italy, by investigating the impact of Friction Stir Welding (FSW) process parameters on microstructure and flow characteristics of aluminum alloys.
