Additional Information

  • I've been a Girl Scout from the very beginning as a Daisy (K-11), and throughout this journey, I've gained valuable leadership, communication, and teamwork skills. I've learned lifelong lessons about the importance of trying new things, showing empathy and compassion towards all, and building lasting relationships with others through shared experiences. I've earned many badges with my troop and experienced many new things with them, such as going camping for the first time and being a Girl Scout camp counselor for the first time. I have also done a lot of volunteer work over the years and completed my Bronze and Silver Awards.
  • Awards:
  • Bronze Award, January 2012 - For this award, my Girl Scout troop and I visited a shelter for women and children and we helped another troop from the shelter earn their very first badge since they did not have the resources to do it themselves. We lead many badge-earning activities for them and at the end, we presented the badges to each of them. Later in the year, I received a certificate and a bronze pin for completing the Bronze Award.
  • Silver Award, July 2020 - For this award, my Girl Scout troop split up into smaller groups to work on our own separate projects. My group decided we would help children with chronic illnesses at the USC Keck Hospital by creating a supply of activity kits for the children to enjoy during their extended stay in the hospital. We did a lot of brainstorming to make sure our project was sustainable, so we created Youtube tutorials for the origami paper we put into the activity kits and made as many kits as we could by hand. When we finished, we went to the hospital ourselves to deliver the supply of kits and handed a few out to the patients that were there. Later in the year I would receive a certificate and silver pin for the completing the Silver Award.
