I work with a team of painters, sculptors, and multimedia artists to refurbish and redesign a vintage wooden carousel from the Birmingham Zoo. Shifts include selecting materials for use based on strength, color and texture. I prep areas and set up supplies prior to beginning artistic sessions. The ultimate goal is to create characters, environments, and objects to reflect the the client’s vision.
I operate Toast POS tablets to input orders, split bills and calculate totals. I use all serving experience, especially with breakfast, to provide a memorable experience to accompany the memorable french cuisine and baked goods.
For a commercial though Jansport, I helped set up lighting for scenes according to the camera operator's instructions. I conducted pre-production meetings with the producer to discuss camera angles and takes for different shots. Traveling to DIA and multiple other locations, I assisted with rigging cameras on and off vehicles when necessary. Keeping in communication with the cast and crew was essential for upcoming or changing tasks and adhering to a schedule.
Serving tables and working within this restaurant provided a new atmosphere of guests and protocols specific to Bull and Bush standards. Here, I've gained a better understanding of the brewing process and profiles for all original beers as well as whiskey palates - the bull offers over 600 kinds. The Bull and Bush hosted large events and two weddings which gave me experience in catering and large volume fine dining service.
I delivered messages to various crew members to coordinate communications. Was consistently alert and ready to respond to requests using a variety of available resources. I delivered and arranged all craft services for the crew. I was sent to collect prints, deliver equipment, and coordinate needed supplies.
I helped customers select breakfast food and beverages, explaining the cook’s specials, and answering food preparation questions. My job required me to complete basic math, perform customer service, resolve potential conflicts, have high energy levels, be professional and thorough, and build upon customer relationships.
Taught students of all ability levels how to improve technical and artistic abilities with rigorous program of in-person coaching, rehearsals and at-home practice. I began teaching the young kids in my neighborhood and community, teaching for half hours at a time, once a week. I additionally worked for Grade Potential, a tutoring company that allowed me to be a private contractor as a K-12 English tutor.
During the start of the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, I lost my serving job for a time. I adjusted my career by administering medications as per pharmacist orders. I entered and processed prescriptions into an internal system with accuracy to avoid filling delays. I performed a wide range of pharmacy operations with strong commitment to accuracy, efficiency and service quality.
While working for Hawaiian Ocean Project, and aboard the Maui Princess vessel for dinner cruises, it was my responsibility to arrive at the kitchen to prepare all supplies and food needed for the charter, transfer everything to the vessel, become a fine dining waitress for the evening, and return to shore with everything packed and cleaned for the next evening. My tolerance for long hours and hard labor was strengthened during this summer.
