I’m a hands-on, passionate mental health care professional who thrives on analyzing and observing my environment and the people in it through a cognitive lens. My experience with the elderly, youth, and mental disability populations, coordinating case management, and facilitating tutoring and mental health sessions has helped me become adaptable and sharp in crisis's and in day to day work. I studied Psychology at Cal Poly and have worked across Hospice care, Academic support, and education advocacy roles — all of which taught me how to balance technical details with real-world problem solving. I’m excited about opportunities to sharpen my technical skills and contribute my unique perspective on social emotional learning, youth development and mental health.
I created the Academic Specialist Role from the ground up; Huckleberry Youth Programs SEEDS, had never had an Academic Specialist before me, and I took this role as an opportunity to expand their program and integrate my skills and experiences into preventing academic push out in middle school aged youth.
