-Educate and reassure patients by explaining procedures clearly and addressing any concerns.

-Assist patients with mobility needs, including transferring individuals over 200 pounds from stretchers and wheelchairs to exam tables.

-Adhere to radiation safety guidelines to protect patients, staff, and self while maintaining image quality.

-Monitor patients and imaging equipment throughout exams to ensure safety, accuracy, and efficiency.

-Evaluate radiographs for diagnostic quality and proper technique, minimizing the need for repeat imaging.

- Work collaboratively with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare teams to provide optimal patient care.

- Maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment, adapting to department needs and handling high patient volumes.

-Transport patients to and from radiology while ensuring proper care and communication.

-Schedule and coordinate imaging exams as needed to support workflow and patient care.

-Conduct quality control checks on imaging equipment and troubleshoot technical issues as necessary.

-Stay up to date with age-specific competencies and patient care protocols through ongoing training and education.

• Addresses delays in radiologist readings by communicating with

RIMA help desk to expedite reading.

• Burns CDs for emergency room patients as well as inpatients

needed.

• Facilitates communication between radiologists, technologists, and

other healthcare professionals to ensure timely delivery of images

Services and interpretation of results.

• Manages administrative tasks such as answering phone calls,

responding to inquiries, and processing paperwork related to

registration, billing, and authorizations.

• Provides normal clerical support as needed to support unit function

such as copying, scanning, typing, filing, faxing, and ordering of department supplies
