The Native American Science and Engineering Program reaches out to rising high school juniors and seniors based on academic excellence to spread opportunities in STEM and relationship between college and future endeavors.

• Interact with high school students to explore their interest in STEM.
• Act as an assistant with the coordinator by submitting P-cards, organizing NASEP applications.
• Interacted with customers by phone, email, or in-person to provide information.
• Analyzed problems and worked with teams to develop solutions for the student's year long science project in Water Testing.
• Sorted and organized files, spreadsheets, and reports.
• Participated in workshops and presentations related to projects to gain knowledge.
• Collaborated with senior management on new initiatives to build confidence.
• Input data into spreadsheets and databases.
• Reviewed files, records and other documents to obtain information to respond to requests.
• Answered and managed incoming and outgoing calls while recording accurate messages for distribution to office staff.
• Edited and proofread documents for accuracy and completeness.

For two consecutive summers, I have worked with high school students for a week exploring the opportunities the program has to offer. We have worked on projects such as coding, and building robots. Our battle bot was a weeklong project that used programs such as microbit, and Tinkercad. We also 3D printed parts for our robots.
