  • Colored Girls Are Cover Girls is geared towards teens and young adults to openly discuss issues of risky behaviors, by utilizing hip-hop and spoken word as tools to promote our message of prevention
  • I helped write about problems in the community as well as my own personal problems, and created video presentations
  • In this spoken word and performing arts program, I provided leadership to my peers, and never turned down an opportunity to perform and showcase my talents
  • In this program, I worked with a group of about 32 other young women.

  • In elementary school, I was a Girl Scout for about 3 years. During my time as a girl scout, I learned honor, integrity and did an amazing job at selling cookies for my troop.
  • In 2018, during my 8th grade year, I had more experience with marketing and selling. I helped raise money for my 8th grade class' trip to Atlanta, Georgia by selling boxes of candy bars for several weeks.
  • In the fall semester of 2022, I won second place in an essay contest. My essay, Parable of room 427, was published in Contemporary Voices.
