We developed a small business, learning skills in branding, marketing, design and producing our unique products
My specific group made a number of things, such as bracelets, necklaces, sunglasses and soap
We were given the opportunity to sell our products at our final showcase.

Colored Girls Are Cover Girls is geared towards teens and young adults to openly discuss issues of risky behaviors, by utilizing hip-hop and spoken word as tools to promote our message of prevention
I helped write about problems in the community as well as my own personal problems, and created video presentations
In this spoken word and performing arts program, I provided leadership to my peers, and never turned down an opportunity to perform and showcase my talents
In this program, I worked with a group of about 32 other young women.

In elementary school, I was a Girl Scout for about 3 years. During my time as a girl scout, I learned honor, integrity and did an amazing job at selling cookies for my troop.
In 2018, during my 8th grade year, I had more experience with marketing and selling. I helped raise money for my 8th grade class' trip to Atlanta, Georgia by selling boxes of candy bars for several weeks.
In the fall semester of 2022, I won second place in an essay contest. My essay, Parable of room 427, was published in Contemporary Voices.
