Registered Behavior Technician
Chrysalis
Logan, Utah
01.2023 - 01.2024
As a Registered Behavior Technician, I work within a team. Collectively we collaborate and discuss different needs and accommodations of children and teens with disabilities that we provide for. I then, along with my other team members, implemented the actions that needed to be taken in order for that client to progress. I am time efficient throughout my sessions so each child gets the maximum support they can receive. Through this occupation, I’ve effectively learned how to handle tough situations that involve bad behavior, resolve challenges with parents, and recognize the emotional or physical needs the child may have. I also have to communicate constructively, I do this by assessing and observing the children’s needs and then I patiently communicate the steps needed to proceed. This job has given me critical insight into assisting children with and without disabilities. I can utilize social situations to aid in children’s and teen’s learning.
