Musical Experience

  • Piano| I started at 3 1/2 years old, learned how to play by ear on the Yamaha Method, then shifted to a more classical interpretation of learning. Stopped taking lessons when I was 10, but I still play, but not professionally. 6 1/2 years in total of lessons. I performed a solo and a duet at the MAMA conference and won high achieving awards for both.
  • Choir| When I was 10, Auditioned for Allegro Choirs of Kansas city, I was placed in the upper youth choir, Vivo for two years, then moved up to Moto, the Women's choir. I performed with them at the Kauffman Center 4 times, as well as other performances in various locations, around Kansas city. In total i performed with the organization 3 years In Addition to Allegro, I was apart of our elementary school choir, we performed in our school, and multiple off "campus" locations.
  • 6th Grade Musical| During my 6ths grade year, i was 12, i got a Lead role in the "Trial of the Big Bad Wolf"- I was little red riding hood:)
  • Guitar| I got my first electric guitar when i was 5 in 2011, but never spent much time on it. I eventually picked up an acoustic guitar in 2017, finally getting my own in 2018. The few years following I performed live multiple times at a winery, and a Pub. I sang non-originals, as well as own compositions. In 2021, I bought my Epiphone Casino, and performed in the SME Blue Notes Jazz Band.
  • Flute| I joined Band as a Flute Player in 5th grade, I was 10. In my first and second year, I completed "Band Karate" getting the black belt, and continued through middle school. During this time Covid-19 happened, and band was online. After that year, returning in the 3/4th quarter of 8th grade, I auditioned and won a solo for our Movie Blockbuster Piece... Freshman year, I joined the SME Marching Lancers, our show that year was Picante. During concert season, I was 6th chair symphonic band. My sophomore year, I was Assistant Section Leader, working with Wyatt Oligmuller, Tyler Kirchoff , and Madi Moorman. Our show was "What Dreams May Become". Through concert season, I was the 4th chair. This year, I am Head section leader, I played piccolo in our show, Door 13. I am currently first chair flute. I also auditioned and performed in our District blue band as 8th chair Flute.
  • Piccolo| During my Freshman year, I was given the opportunity to try the piccolo for Pep games. I fell in love with it, and kept practicing. My sophomore year, I continued to play at pep games and fundraisers. This year, I played Piccolo during our Marching season, and Pep Season.
