Provides specialized, high-acuity care to critically ill patients with complex cardiovascular conditions. Monitors hemodynamic status using advanced equipment, including arterial lines, central venous pressure monitoring, and pulmonary artery catheters. Operates and manages mechanical ventilators, intra-aortic balloon pumps, continuous renal replacement therapy, Impellas, Transvenous Pacers, and Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO). Demonstrates competency in administering cardiac medications, including antiarrhythmics, anticoagulants, vasopressors, and ionotropes to optimize therapeutic outcomes. Ensures compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols. Collaborates with physicians, nurse practitioners, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.

Cared for highly acute cardiac medicine patients with diagnoses such as acute MI, cardiomyopathy, dysrhythmia, and heart failure. Received patients returning after stent placement, ablations, PPM/AICD implantation, watchman devices, or TAVR from the Cardiac Cath and Electrophysiology Lab. Gained experience in vasoactive drip titration, Swann-Ganz catheters, LVADs, phlebotomy & IV insertion, ACLS, and BLS.
